Our Team

Lily (left) and Lindsay Simpson (right) established Cville Sock Love in 2017. Charlottesville’s “sock sisters” were named as 2024 Philanthropy Champions by Virginia’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence. They rely on a band of generous volunteers, many of whom are youths.

    Lily manages Cville Sock Love’s sock drives, distribution events, and deliveries to beneficiaries. A kinesiology student at the University of Virginia, Lily aspires to become a physical therapist. She supports her campus community and hometown as a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-educational service fraternity.

    Lindsay manages Cville Sock Love’s relationships with suppliers, beneficiaries, and community partners. She also oversees strategic partnerships with companies such as Bombas and Old Navy. A double major in advertising/public relations and psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lindsay balances her out-of-state studies with her ongoing commitment to the Central Virginia community. She is an active member of several professional organizations, as well as Pi Beta Phi, a national women’s fraternity dedicated to leadership and intellectual growth.
